dc.description.abstract	La presente investigación está enfocada en conocer cuál es la percepción que tienen los funcionarios de la Secretaría de Educación del municipio de Villavicencio, los padres de familia y los beneficiarios sobre la efectividad de los mecanismos de control y medidas administrativas establecidas para el adecuado funcionamiento del Programa de Alimentación Escolar PAE en la ciudad de Villavicencio-Meta; Para lograr identificar los controles, actualizaciones administrativas y los seguimientos establecidos por el gobierno Colombiano fue necesario realizar un investigación cualitativa sobre las unidades administrativas, leyes y lineamientos que regulan el seguimiento, monitoreo y control de los recursos del Programa de Alimentación Escolar y validar esta información con los procesos que se ejecutan por la Dirección del programa de Villavicencio (Secretaría de educación de Villavicencio), los cuales deben aseguran cubrir las necesidades de la población educativa para la cual se ha creado dicho programa. Para la realización de esta investigación se realizaron entrevistas y encuestas a funcionarios de la Secretaría de Educación de Villavicencio y a algunos de los beneficiarios del programa con el fin de conocer cómo perciben ellos el manejo y la aplicación del Programa de Alimentación Escolar PAE por parte del Gobierno Municipal. Finalmente, se puede decir que los funcionarios de la Secretaría de Educación y la población beneficiaria del programa en el municipio de Villavicencio perciben	spa
