Se identificaron los artículos que cumplieron con el objetivo y se sintetizaron en una tabla en donde se incluyó el tipo de material vegetal utilizado, el tipo de aglutinante y los diferentes parámetros principales ensayados, como presión, humedad, etc. De la revisión se concluyó que, ninguna de las configuraciones de briquetas encontradas en la literatura cumplía con la totalidad de requisitos exigidos por las normas nacionales e internacionales. Las briquetas elaboradas bajo las etapas establecidas en la Figura 6, fueron las que tuvieron los mejores resultados respecto a los requisitos normativos. Además, las briquetas elaboradas de un solo tipo de materia prima o que incluían cascara de coco dentro de sus configuraciones, mostraban un rendimiento y calidad superior a las que tenían varios tipos de materia prima mezclada. Por último, todos los aglutinantes encontrados tienen fines alimenticios, por lo cual se recomiendo buscar otro tipo de sustancia que tenga propiedades aglutinantes, para no colocar en riesgo la sustentación alimentaria. The object of present investigation was to make a systematic bibliographic review in the most important engineering data bases, of cooking charcoal briquettes made of agricultural and forest residues. Several articles were identified that meet the criteria and these were synthesized in a sheet displaying the composition materials, binders and the main characteristics like pressure, humidity etc. Furthermore, an engineering position was included in the results of the multiple briquettes configurations. This where organized in a table showing the different configurations and both national and international requirements compliance. The analysis included the process and the parameters used on each briquette and the convenience of adapting it to the local market. The briquettes made under the stages established in Figure 6 were the ones that had the best results with respect to the regulatory requirements. In addition, the briquettes made from a single type of raw material or that included coconut shell within their configurations, showed a higher yield and quality than those that had several types of mixed raw material. Finally, all the binders found have food purposes, for which it is recommended to look for another type of substance that has binding properties, so as not to put food sustenance at risk.
