La importancia del bilingüismo para los futuros egresados de ingeniería en la Universidad Ean y la Universidad Nacional

Abstract

En esta investigación se tomará en cuenta el nivel de inglés de los estudiantes de Ingeniería de la Universidad Ean y la Universidad Nacional de Colombia. El objetivo de la siguiente investigación es entender la importancia de hablar un segundo idioma, en este caso desde la perspectiva de los estudiantes de Ingeniería. El tipo de estudio de esta investigación es correlacional, ya que se evidenciarán tres variables que estarán vinculadas para confirmar la hipótesis planteada, para esto se realizó una encuesta que incluye las respuestas de sesenta y siete de los estudiantes de dichas universidades. Con los resultados fue posible verificar que los estudiantes consideran que un buen profesional debería tener al menos un nivel de B2/C1 en inglés para tener un mejor desempeño en el campo laboral.

This research considers the English level of the Engineering students from the Ean University and the Universidad Nacional de Colombia University. The goal with the following research is to understand the importance of knowing a second language, in this case with the engineering students. The type of study of this research is correlational, since there are 3 variables which will be linked to confirm the hypothesis raised in the research. For this, we made a survey which include answers from students at both Universities, there are sixty-seven answers in total. With the responses it was possible to verify that the students consider that good professional should have at least a B2/C1 English level in order to have a better performance in the professional field.
