El artículo presenta las dimensiones del aprendizaje autónomo: desarrollo conceptual, desarrollo de habilidades de pensamiento, creación de hábitos académicos y sociales, generación de sentimientos, emociones y valores que favorecen el aprendizaje de nuevos conocimientos; se plantean algunas reflexiones sobre la autorregulación del aprendizaje en cada una de estas dimensiones y se exponen algunas estrategias para promover la autorregulación del aprendizaje de los estudiantes.

The article presents the dimensions of autonomous learning: conceptual development, thinking skills, creating academic and social habits, generation of feelings, emotions and values that promote learning of new knowledge raises some thoughts on self-regulated learning in each of these dimensions and outlines some strategies to promote self-regulated learning of students.The purpose of this article is to explore alternatives to help improve the effectiveness of the learning processes of people through the generation of self-regulated learning strategies, so that the learner at their own risk can identify progress, facing difficulties and take action that will achieve the desired results in their own learning process.To achieve the purpose is addressed in the first instance the concept of independent learning as the foundation of training people from four different dimensions. Then raise matters relating to self-regulation for each of the dimensions and suggests some strategies to promote self-regulated learning.
