Luego de presentar el concepto de género gramatical, central en la argumentación académica en defensa del masculino genérico, este artículo pasa revista al carácter sexista de ciertos usos del lenguaje, y analiza diversas propuestas actuales que señalan su desacuerdo frente a las prácticas discursivas que naturalizan el ocultamiento de la mujer y de otras identidades de género. Del análisis de los datos se desprende que las enunciaciones que buscan evitar el sexismo y objetar el binarismo establecido por el género gramatical materializan diferentes construcciones subjetivas (i. e., no conservadoras, discordantes o inconsistentes, militantes, no binarias) en el terreno polémico instaurado por el uso del lenguaje inclusivo. El estudio se basa en un corpus constituido por intervenciones escritas y orales pertenecientes a distintos géneros discursivos (periodísticos, políticos, jurídicos, publicitarios, académicos) y producidas en los últimos años en la República Argentina.

After presenting the concept of grammatical gender, central to the academic argument in defense of the generic masculine, this article considers the sexist nature of certain uses of language and analyses various current proposals that show their disagreement with the discursive practices that naturalise the concealment of women and other gender identities. The analysis reveals that the enunciations that seek to avoid sexism and object to the binarism established by grammatical gender materialise different subjective constructions (i.e., non-conservative, discordant or inconsistent, militant, non-binary) in the controversial terrain established by the use of inclusive language. The study focuses on written and oral interventions stemming from different discursive genres (journalistic, political, advertising, legal and academic) and produced in recent years in Argentina.
