Turismo en Colombia ¿Es el turismo una alternativa real para enfrentar el déficit externo?

Abstract

La presente investigación describe el comportamiento del turismo en un país como Colombia que se ha visto afectado por la violencia, problemas económicos y ambientales. Sin embargo, el prospecto del gran desarrollo que ha tenido el turismo a nivel mundial, ha generado un cambio que ha permitido su crecimiento dentro del territorio colombiano, lo que permite un ingreso alto de divisas al país, genera empleo y busca crear sostenibilidad para que el desarrollo sea constante. Se identifica una tendencia de desarrollo económico dentro del país en los últimos años (periodos 2011 - 2016), pues el sector del turismo ha creado una base fundamental en la economía colombiana, evidenciado en el crecimiento económico y cultural del país. De esto se puede hacer un análisis profundo frente al déficit del país y como el mismo sector ha propiciado un cambio positivo.

This research describes the behavior of tourism in a country like Colombia that has been affected by violence, and economic and environmental problems. However, the prospect of the great development that tourism has had worldwide, has generated a change that allows its growth in Colombian territory, which enables a high income of foreign exchange, generates jobs and seeks to create sustainability so that development is steady. A trend of economic development is identified in the country in recent years (period 2011-2016), the tourism sector has created a foundation in the Colombian economy, as evidenced in the economic and cultural growth of the country. From this, a deep analysis of the deficit in the country and how the sector itself has led to a positive change can be made.
