Economía de la felicidad: bienestar subjetivo y objetivo

Abstract

Este artículo tiene como fin identificar el nivel de felicidad de los colombianos a partir de observaciones mundiales, así como definir si este bienestar es subjetivo u objetivo. La investigación se basa en los datos del año 2014 extraídos del World Happiness Report y del Banco Mundial. Las variables que condicionan la felicidad se dividen en: macro y micro, las cuales definen datos objetivos y subjetivos respectivamente. Dentro de las variables más significativas del modelo econométrico se encuentran el apoyo personal, la libertad y la salud, lo cual significa que la felicidad de los colombianos, en una visión global, está definida en el bienestar subjetivo.

This article aims at identifying the level of happiness of Colombian people from global observations, as well as defining whether this well-being is subjective or objective. This research is based on data that was taken from the World Happiness Report of 2014 and the World Bank. The variables that determine happiness are divided into macro and micro, which define objective and subjective data respectively. Among the most significant variables of the econometric model we can find personal support, freedom and health, which means that happiness of Colombians, in a global view, is defined in the subjective well-being.
