Estrategias para una adecuada gestión de inventario de cubetas plásticas en la cadena de suministro en Alpina

Abstract

Alpina es una multinacional colombiana productora de alimentos lácteos, con operación en algunos países del Sur, Centro y Norte América, a nivel nacional cuenta con 10 Centros de distribución, (CEDIS), quienes son los encargados de repartir a nivel nacional las diferentes variedades de productos, para esta logística utiliza cubetas plásticas reutilizables, las cuales hacen parte de los activos de la empresa, estas cubetas empiezan su ciclo desde las planta de producción, llega a los CEDIS de ahí a los clientes retornando nuevamente a la planta; pero es ahí en ese proceso de retorno de las cubetas a planta, donde se presenta inconvenientes, no retornan en su totalidad y/o llegan en mal estado, afectando los inventarios de disponibilidad de cubetas para el inicio de un nuevo ciclo.

La metodología utilizada es de carácter descriptivo, y el tipo de investigación es mixto, indagando el mercado y la demanda que ello conlleva las cubetas plásticas, con lo cual se estipula un tentativo de visibilidad posibles de mejora, luego se realiza una investigación de costo-beneficio.
