Pérdida progresiva de la identidad: sentidos patrimoniales en el centro de Bogotá.

Abstract

La transformación de un espacio está asociado al tiempo y a diferentes agentes transversales a este, ya sea porque habitan o porque toman decisiones que afectan a su apariencia y a cómo éste trasciende en la historia. Dichos cambios se han visto en diferentes ciudades alrededor del mundo, en donde a partir de su fundación edifican su propia identidad y por ende están llenos de simbolismos y significado que debe de ser resguardado y protegido. Esta investigación pretende hacer un estudio cualitativo por medio de entrevistas, análisis de un árbol de problemas, y una matriz PESTEL en donde se identifican los principales factores del proceso de gentrificación que ha sufrido el centro histórico de la capital colombiana la cual ha evidenciado afectación tanto a su identidad, como a su patrimonio por medio de proyectos como el POT (Plan de Ordenamiento Territorial) y el Proyecto Ministerios de la Agencia Nacional Inmobiliaria Virgilio Barco. Además, se busca mostrar la importancia de la visibilización del desplazamiento que sufren los habitantes y la cultura del centro histórico, proponiendo así la protección de la población, el territorio y la memoria desde el ámbito académico.

The transformation of a space is associated with time and different agents that are transversal to it, either because they inhabit it or because they make decisions that affect its appearance and how it transcends history. Such changes have been seen in different cities around the world, where from their foundation they build their own identity and are therefore full of symbolism and meaning that must be safeguarded and protected. This research aims to carry out a qualitative study by means of interviews, analysis of a problem tree and a PESTEL matrix in which the main factors of the gentrification process suffered by the historic centre of the Colombian capital are identified, which has affected both its identity and its heritage through projects such as the POT (Territorial Arrangement Planning) and the Ministries Project of the National Real Estate Agency Virgilio Barco. In addition, it seeks to show the importance of making visible the displacement suffered by the inhabitants and the culture of the historic centre, thus proposing the protection of the population, the territory and the memory from the academic sphere.
