Turismo de naturaleza como herramienta para aumentar la visita de turistas internacionales y externos a Bogotá al municipio de Choachí

Abstract

El turismo de naturaleza representa una oportunidad clave para atraer tanto a visitantes internacionales como a turistas nacionales de fuera de Bogotá al municipio de Choachí,un destino cercano a la capital con una rica oferta natural que aún enfrenta desafíos para captar una mayor afluencia de turistas. Esta investigación se centra en plantear mecanismos eficaces para aumentar el número de visitantes mediante un análisis integral que identifica las preferencias y motivaciones de los turistas, evalúa la oferta natural de la región y examina su impacto en el desarrollo turístico local. Asimismo, se propone un conjunto de estrategias de promoción dirigidas a mercados internacionales y nacionales, con el fin de impulsar un turismo sostenible que beneficie tanto a los visitantes como a la comunidad local y contribuya al posicionamiento competitivo de Choachí en el mercado turístico.

Nature tourism represents a key opportunity to attract both international visitors and domestic tourists from outside Bogotá to the municipality of Choachí, a destination close to the capital with a rich natural offering that still faces challenges in attracting a larger influx of tourists. This research focuses on proposing effective mechanisms to increase the number of visitors through a comprehensive analysis that identifies the preferences and motivations of tourists, evaluates the region's natural offerings, and examines its impact on local tourism development. Additionally, a set of promotional strategies targeting both international and national markets is proposed to foster sustainable tourism that benefits both visitors and the local community, while contributing to Choachí's competitive positioning in the tourism market.
