Este artículo examina sucintamente el objeto y método de estudio de algunas disciplinas de las ciencias sociales. Se inicia con un análisis antropocéntrico y los principales cuestionamientos del hombre acerca de su existencia, la antropología, la interpretación de las intersubjetividades y las interrelaciones humanas como parte de su desarrollo social, por medio de algunas de sus disciplinas como la antropología, la sociología, la filosofía, la psicología y la educación, para concluir con una reflexión sobre sus enfoques fundamentales. Se concluye que son las ciencias sociales las que coadyuvan a la reflexión y a cuestionar cuáles son las disciplinas que la conforman y esclarecen la posibilidad del análisis interdisciplinar, teniendo en cuenta que cada campo del conocimiento tiene su propio método, objeto, teorías y conceptos. Sería imposible señalar que existe un único método de las ciencias sociales, pues, a partir del objeto y tipo de investigación que se realice, se puede hacer uso de las herramientas y de los elementos de cada campo del conocimiento, para lograr procesos interdisciplinares, transdisciplinares y plurales, y con ello hacer activo ese campo o área del conocimiento específico.

This article briefly examines the study object and method of some disciplines in the social sciences. It begins with an anthropocentric analysis and the main questioning of men about their existence, the anthropology, the interpretation of intersubjectivities, and human interrelations as part of their social development, and by means of some disciplines such as the anthropology, sociology, philosophy, psychology, and education, to conclude with a reflection on fundamental approaches. As a conclusion, social sciences are the ones that contribute to the reflection and to question what are the disciplines that shape and clarify the possibility of interdisciplinary analysis, taking into account that each field of knowledge has its own method, object, theories, and concepts. It would be impossible to point out that there is only one method in the social sciences, since, based on the object and the type of research that is carried out, one can use the tools and elements of each field of knowledge in order to achieve interdisciplinary, transdisciplinary, and plural processes, and thereby activate that field or area of specific knowledge.
