Este trabajo de seminario de investigación tiene como finalidad abordar el tema del reciclaje no solo como un desafío al que se enfrenta la ciudad de Bogotá, sino como la responsabilidad de los ciudadanos frente al tema de la educación ambiental y el compromiso con la sostenibilidad en la ciudad. A través de un análisis que realizamos a una muestra determinada de la población, con el estudio se pretende identificar la percepción en relación con las prácticas de reciclaje, la conciencia ciudadana y los hábitos sostenibles que se tienen. Este estudio busca aportar insumos relevantes que permita describir como los ciudadanos de estratos 3 y 4 en Bogotá perciben el reciclaje y que factores son importantes para mejorar en este aspecto. Los hallazgos obtenidos ofrecen una mirada actual de posibles estrategias para fortalecer la cultura desde un enfoque participativo y educativo.

This research seminar investigation aims to address the recycling topic not only as a challenge that the city of Bogotá is currently facing, but also as the responsibility of the citizens regarding environmental education and the commitment to sustainability in the city. Through an analysis conducted to a determined sector of the population, the study pretends to identify the perception in relation with the recycling habits, environmental awareness and the sustainable practices of the citizens. This study seeks to provide the relevant information that allows to describe how the population of social status 3 and 4 in Bogotá understand how to recycle and the factors that are important to improve their environmental practices. The findings obtained show a current point of view of the possible strategies to strengthen the culture from a participatory and educational approach.
