Calidad de vida y carga de cuidado percibida por el cuidador de personas en cuidado crónico

Abstract

Desde la problemática de alteración en la calidad de vida y la carga de cuidado por parte de los cuidadores familiares, nace la necesidad de realizar la presente investigación. Las enfermedades crónicas que requieran cuidado paliativo, se han aumentado a nivel mundial, nacional, local y regional, y se evidencia que el profesional de Salud, debe llevar a cabo un cuidado tanto al paciente como al familiar de manera holística, con el fin de lograr minimizar la sobrecarga por parte del cuidador familiar y así evitar que el cuidado disminuya y que esto repercuta en la salud de quien cuida al paciente.

From the problem of alteration in the quality of life and the burden of care by family caregivers, the need to carry out this research is born. Chronic diseases that require palliative care have been increased worldwide, nationally, locally and regionally, and it is evident that the health professional must carry out care for both the patient and the family member in a holistic manner, in order to manage to minimize overload on the part of the family caregiver and thus prevent the care from diminishing and that this has an impact on the health of the caregiver.
