Implementar una técnica de seguimiento y control de los proyectos es un factor clave para el éxito de los mismos. Según lo anterior, la técnica de valor ganado en los proyectos de innovación tecnológica del sector financiero puede ofrecer las condiciones óptimas para realizar un adecuado seguimiento y control del cronograma y presupuesto, ya que le provee al director de proyectos un panorama claro para la toma de acciones preventivas o correctivas en la gestión del proyecto. El propósito de la investigación es determinar los componentes claves que permitan la implementación de la técnica del valor ganado en las entidades financieras con portafolio de financiación vehículos nuevos y usados. Identificar los criterios necesarios que permitan su implementación. Apropiar las dimensiones, variaciones e índices necesarios que permitan la estimación de la desviación en el desempeño entre lo planeado y lo ejecutado y finalmente determinar un instrumento que permita a la gerencia la caracterización de sus proyectos de TI y evaluar la implementación de la propuesta obtenida como resultado de la investigación.

According to the above, the earned value technique in the technological innovation projects of the financial sector can offer the optimal conditions to carry out an adequate follow-up and control of the schedule and budget, since it provides the project manager with a clear panorama for the taking of preventive or corrective actions in the management of the project. The purpose of the research is to determine the key components that allow the implementation of the technique of value earned in financial institutions with new and used vehicles financing portfolio. Identify the necessary criteria that allow its implementation. Appropriate dimensions, variations and indices necessary to estimate the deviation in the performance between the planned and executed and finally determine an instrument that allows management to characterize their IT projects and evaluate the implementation of the proposal obtained as result of the investigation.
