Context: The purpose of this research is to learn about the efficiency and efficacy of the benefits that hippotherapy brings to children with autism in terms of social, motor and communication skills. All this, by carrying out activities with horses that serve as a therapeutic tool, since the transmission of body heat, the three-dimensional movements and the vibrations that the horse transmits to the child will provide stimulations to the nervous structures. This research will raise awareness among relatives of patients, teachers and physicians of the benefits with results, the efficiency and the efficacy of Hippotherapy in Children with ASD, so that in the future it can be considered as an accessible treatment within the Colombian health system. , delivering personal well-being, health and happiness, for the results obtained, improving the quality of life of Children with ASD. Objectives: To develop a qualitative study supported by the Delphi methodology that allows establishing a preliminary overview of the efficiency and efficacy of hippotherapy in the treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorder. Method: A descriptive study was carried out using a survey with the Delphi methodology, which was sent to experts in the field in order to obtain more information about this alternative treatment. Results: Hippotherapy has demonstrated efficacy and efficiency as an alternative treatment in neuronal diseases, improving balance and mobility in patients, with which it has been used in different types of paralysis. Conclusions: Equine therapy does not represent the cure for autism, it is an alternative that brings great benefits, what can be said is that it is a great opportunity to influence development and enhance the acquisition of skills that improve the quality of life by making the child have fun and enjoy the treatment.eng
