Gestión de riesgos de un portafolio de proyectos: integración con la estrategia organizacional

Abstract

Las organizaciones en general independientemente de su misión, estructura o tamaño se ven expuestas a una serie de riesgos que pueden afectar sus objetivos estratégicos (Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission COSO, 2004). Dado que la respuesta a estos riesgos puede convertirse en planes de acción concretos (Kaplan y Norton, 2004), que a su vez son realizados a través de proyectos, la organización puede traducir sus objetivos estratégicos en un portafolio constituido por los proyectos que mayor valor le dan a la misma (Project Management Institute PMI, 2017b). El estudio realizado por Hepwortha, Misopoulosa, Manthoub, Dyera, Roula y Michaelidesa (2017), evidenció que un factor de éxito asociado a los resultados de un portafolio de proyectos es la implementación de una metodología sólida que incluya la definición de procesos de gestión y la instauración de sesiones de revisión periódicas al estado de los proyectos que conforman el portafolio.
