| spa |
| dc.description.abstract | This consulting project aims to design and validate a comprehensive sustainable innovation strategy for the diversification of Quinteplast S.A.S.’s portfolio through the development of a new business line in the collectible figures market inspired by geek culture, with the objective of strengthening its competitive positioning as a plastic figure manufacturer in Colombia. This process represents an innovative shift in Quinteplast’s business model, which has traditionally focused on contract manufacturing and large-volume sales of plastic products for the food sector and now seeks to enter the B2C market by delivering direct value to consumers through sustainable products and recyclable packaging. The study adopts a mixed-methods and applied research approach and is structured into three methodological phases: research, testing, and strategy, articulated under an open innovation and design thinking framework. During the research phase, opportunities in the Colombian market were identified through consumer studies and sector benchmarking, highlighting the potential of the creative economy. In the testing phase, prototypes inspired by anime universes were designed and validated by applying principles of eco-design and sustainable manufacturing. Finally, the strategic phase formulated an implementation roadmap with OKRs, digital performance metrics, and an innovation culture plan oriented toward sustainability and regional expansion. The results confirm the technical and commercial feasibility of the project, with a projected return on investment (ROI) of 16.18%, positioning Quinteplast as a national pioneer in sustainable collectible figures and as a benchmark in circular manufacturing innovation. | eng |
