WOMAP: ¡Viajemos Seguras! Plataforma tecnológica de mujeres para mujeres

Abstract

WOMAP es una iniciativa inspirada en las mujeres, en sus preocupaciones, en su cotidianidad, en su movilidad y en su vida misma, para que sea un poco más segura y más tranquila. WOMAP será una aplicación que les ofrece una oportunidad de trabajo para que sean socias conductoras, les ayude a tener una alternativa de empleo temporal o permanente; y también a usuarias, a pasajeras, para que sientan mayor confianza y seguridad cuando se movilizan en la calle, sabiendo que es otra mujer quien va al volante, más aún en una ciudad como Bogotá que sigue registrando altos índices de inseguridad, y en el caso del transporte, según cifras del Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo, alrededor del 64% de las mujeres reconoce que ha sufrido algún tipo de violencia (Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo -BID-, 2022).

WOMAP is an iniciative inspired by women, their concerns, their daily life, their mobility and their life itself, to make it a little safer and calmer. It will be a transportation application that offers them a job opportunity to be partner drivers, to help them to have a temporary or permanent employment alternative; and also to users, to passengers, so that they feel more confidence and security when they move on the street, knowing that it is another woman behind the wheel, especially in a city like Bogota that still has high levels of insecurity, and in the case of transportation, according to figures from the Inter-American Development Bank, about 64% of women recognize that they have suffered some kind of violence (Inter-American Development Bank -IDB-, 2022).
