El presente trabajo de investigación permite analizar las diferentes fuentes teóricas que analizan el hurto de motocicletas en la ciudad de Bogotá y en especial las estrategias implementadas en la localidad de Kennedy para prevenir el mismo; un problema diario y persistente que afecta tanto a residentes, como a visitantes y comerciantes de la zona. La investigación se basa en una revisión exhaustiva de citas y estudios presentados por instituciones como lo es la policía, el DANE, Alcaldía Mayor de Bogotá, Alcaldía Local entre otras, que analizan desde toda perspectiva la situación de hurtos y prevención de este. Se identificarán y analizarán diversas estrategias implementadas por las autoridades locales y la comunidad para abordar este problema, incluyendo campañas de concientización, alarmas de proximidad, instalación de candados portátiles y colaboración con la comunidad. A partir de esto se evaluarán los resultados de estas estrategias con su efectividad para reducir los hurtos de motocicletas y mejorar la seguridad en la localidad, además de los índices y tendencias de mayor frecuencia y modalidad de hurto. Se discutirán los desafíos y limitaciones evidenciadas durante la implementación de estas estrategias, así como las oportunidades para fortalecer la prevención del delito en el futuro. Esta investigación proporcionará una visión integral de las medidas adoptadas en la localidad de Kennedy para prevenir el hurto de motocicletas y ofrece recomendaciones para mejorar la eficacia de las estrategias de seguridad en la comunidad. The present research work allows to analyze the different theoretical sources that analyze the theft of motorcycles in the city of Bogotá and especially the strategies implemented in the town of Kennedy to prevent it; a daily and persistent problem that affects both residents, as well as visitors and merchants in the area. The research is based on an exhaustive review of citations and studies presented by institutions such as the police, the DANE, the Mayor's Office of Bogotá, the Local Mayor's Office, among others, which analyze the situation of theft and its prevention from every perspective. Various strategies implemented by local authorities and the community to address this problem will be identified and analyzed, including awareness campaigns, proximity alarms, installation of portable locks and collaboration with the community. From this, the results of these strategies will be evaluated with their effectiveness to reduce motorcycle thefts and improve safety in the locality, in addition to the indices and trends of greater frequency and modality of theft. The challenges and limitations evidenced during the implementation of these strategies will be discussed, as well as the opportunities to strengthen crime prevention in the future. This research will provide a comprehensive overview of the measures taken in the locality of Kennedy to prevent motorcycle theft and offers recommendations to improve the effectiveness of security strategies in the community. (Sarmiento, 2018). The carrying of knives and firearms in the Town of Kennedy largely affects this problem and citizen security, being responsible for 77% of thefts and 40% of homicides. This phenomenon is mainly due to the ease of concealment of these weapons. The question then arises: How could a more effective registry, using an electronic device, reduce the carrying of weapons? In this context, the implementation of a metal detector is proposed to prevent weapons crimes. (Estrada, 2021).
