Plan de implementación de un sistema WMS, para mejorar la gestión logística en la empresa ALPAPEL SAS

Abstract

La elaboración de este trabajo de intervención empresarial se desarrollará a partir de la identificación de la problemática en las actividades de la gestión logística que realiza la empresa ALPAPEL SAS, comenzando con el análisis de cómo funcionan las empresas comercializadoras a nivel mundial, con el fin de entender su funcionamiento en las operaciones que tienen lugar en el área logística. Posteriormente se recopilará la información institucional de la compañía para conocer sus referentes estratégicos a corto y largo plazo, junto con su promesa de valor y su diseño organizacional. Para complementar esta información se realizará un análisis del sector de las artes gráficas para conocer cómo es el entorno de la empresa. Para comprender las tendencias del mercado y antecedentes teóricos, se desarrollará el marco de referencia enfocado en los diferentes sistemas de información que optimizan los procesos logísticos en la industria. Por medio del análisis del modelo de las cinco fuerzas de Porter, la matriz DOFA, el diagrama de Ishikawa y la toma de información estadística se busca encontrar las variables de la problemática y se realizará el diagnóstico organizacional. Seguido a este análisis se elaborará el plan de intervención con la selección de las variables a intervenir y con la identificación de la solución basada en un sistema de gestión de almacenes WMS, incluyendo los recursos necesarios y barreras en su implementación. Con la información recopilada se plantean indicadores para medir el rendimiento de las operaciones una vez implementada la solución del sistema WMS. Por último, se presentan las conclusiones donde se manifiestan las debilidades que existen en el área logística de la compañía y las recomendaciones asociadas al plan de implementación de un sistema WMS, para mejorar la gestión logística de la empresa ALPAPEL SAS.

The elaboration of this business intervention work will be developed from the identification of the problem in the logistics management activities carried out by the company ALPAPEL SAS, beginning with the analysis of how the trading companies work worldwide, in order to understand its operation in the operations that take place in the logistics area. Subsequently, the institutional information of the company will be compiled to know its strategic references in the short and long term, together with its promise of value and its organizational design. To complement this information, an analysis of the graphic arts sector will be carried out to find out what the company's environment is like. To understand market trends and theoretical background, the reference framework focused on the different information systems that optimize logistics processes in the industry will be developed. Through the analysis of Porter's five forces model, the SWOT matrix, the Ishikawa diagram and the collection of statistical information, the aim is to find the variables of the problem and the organizational diagnosis will be carried out. Following this analysis, the intervention plan will be prepared with the selection of the variables to intervene and with the identification of the solution based on a WMS warehouse management system, including the necessary resources and barriers in its implementation. With the information collected, indicators are proposed to measure the performance of operations once the WMS system solution has been implemented. Finally, the conclusions are presented where the weaknesses that exist in the logistics area of the company are manifested and the recommendations associated with the implementation plan of a WMS system, to improve the logistics management of the company ALPAPEL SAS.
