Abstract

La industria textil es uno de los negocios que causa más impacto ambiental y contaminación del agua, Según estudios publicados por el Parlamento Europeo la industria textil es la responsable del 20% de la contaminación del agua potable, debido a que los químicos que se usan para la fabricación son de alto impacto ambiental y causa daño a los trabajadores o productos como a los consumidores, además la industria de la moda se ubica en la segunda posición, después de la industria del petróleo, siendo responsable del 10% de la emisión de carbono y la producción en masa de prendas textiles genera cerca de 80 mil millones de piezas de ropa en el mundo, las cuales después de su uso van a pasar a ser residuos. El presente proyecto “Armario sostenible eco-amigable” tiene como propósito la aplicación de los principios básicos de economía circular, buscando el reúso de recursos y /o la fabricación de nuevas prendas a base de fibras reutilizadas de ropa desechada y/o prendas a base de productos reciclados con fibras PET. También estudios publicados por la organización ecologista internacional Green Peace, revela que el fast fashion o moda rápida, fabrica cientos de toneladas de ropa en función y las tendencias de la moda, lo que lleva a incentivar en los consumidores la necesidad de compras masivas en lapsos cortos de tiempo con un promedio de uso de las prendas de 7 veces y luego se tiran, también es revelador el hecho que por esta tendencia de moda rápida, el 70% de las prendas que se encuentran en tiendas es desechada para cambiar de colección, lo que conlleva a un impacto grave del medio ambiente a nivel mundial. En base a lo anterior, el proyecto tendrá como finalidad, aportar en el camino de la economía circular, romper paradigmas frente al reúso de los recursos como la ropa e impactar significativamente a la reducción del impacto ambiental que causa la industria textil y el fast fashion.
