Propuesta de una Guía Práctica para Proveedores de servicio de Internet en Colombia alineada al Objetivo de Desarrollo Sostenible 9 – Industria, Innovación a Infraestructura

Abstract

En la actualidad la mayoría de las organizaciones tienen como prioridad generar un impacto positivo en el país, esto mediante prácticas de responsabilidad social e impulsando la sostenibilidad en sus actividades. El compromiso con el bienestar de las personas y el medioambiente ubican a dichas organizaciones en el "cuarto sector" y en Colombia, algunos de los principales proveedores de servicios de internet (ISP, por sus siglas en inglés Internet Service Provider) hacen parte de este sector, por lo que son un actor clave en el progreso del país como sociedad. El objetivo final de la investigación es la estructuración de una guía práctica que permita a los principales ISP en Colombia (Tigo, Movistar y Claro) mejorar, implementar o reestructurar ciertas actividades o prácticas con el fin de promover su aporte al cumplimiento del objetivo de desarrollo sostenible número 9 (ODS-9) - industria, innovación e infraestructuras sostenibles; definido en la agenda de sostenibilidad 2030 definida por la ONU en el año 2015. Dicha guía se basa en análisis cuantitativos y cualitativos, de los ISP seleccionados, según los reportes de gestión responsable que cada uno ha publicado en los últimos tres años y de la comparativa entre las actividades en otros países de Latinoamérica.

Currently, most organizations have as a priority to generate a positive impact in the country, this through social responsibility practices and promoting sustainability with their activities. The commitment to the well-being of people and the environment places these organizations in the "fourth sector" and in Colombia, some of the main Internet Service Providers (ISPs) are part of this sector, which is why they are a main actor in the progress of the country as a society. The final objective of the investigation is the structuring of a practical guide that allows the main ISPs in Colombia (Tigo, Movistar, and Claro) to improve, implement, or restructure certain activities or practices in order to promote their contribution to the fulfillment of the objective of sustainable development number 9 (SDG-9) - industry, innovation, and sustainable infrastructures; specified in the 2030 sustainability agenda defined by the UN in 2015. This guide is based on quantitative and qualitative analysis of the selected ISPs, according to the responsible management reports that each one has published in the last three years and the comparison between activities in other Latin American countries.
